What is it?

Intense, excessive, and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations.


Five Main Types:

General Anxiety Disorder , Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Social Anxiety Disorder


Causes:

Traumatic experiences, stress build up, excessive alcohol, excessive use of drugs, or other mental illnesses heighten your risk of an anxiety disorder.


Coping Mechanisms:

Anxiety Disorder: Learn your triggers and how to avoid them, practice acceptance over repulse, ask for help


Intermediate Anxiety: Deep breaths, enough sleep, eat balanced meals, use daily affirmations to remind yourself you’re worth more than how the world sees you.
