Signs of Mental Illnesses - zine vol. 4

Signs can and do vary depending on the disorder and person, but the most common signs are as follows...


Anxiety:
  • -Insomnia

  • - feeling tired, restless, or tense for a prolonged period.

  • -sweating, trembling, and feeling weak or tired

  • -over thinking/ always imagining worst possible outcome


ADHD:
  • -Trouble holding attention

  • -Trouble organizing and time management

  • -Often forgetful

  • -Talking excessively or not talking.

  • -Low frustration tolerance

  • -frequent mood swings

  • -trouble coping with stress

  • -excessive activity or restlessness


Teen depression:
  • -Feelings of sadness, or hopelessness, crying for no apparent reason.

  • -Loss of interest for normal activities

  • -Lack of energy

  • -Reduced appetite

  • -Anxiety, agitation or restlessness

  • -Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements

  • -Feelings of worthlessness or guilt

  • -Frequent or recurrent thoughts of death or suicide

  • -Angry outbursts, easily irritated.

  • -Extreme sensitivity to rejection or failure
